FAQs

1. Do you offer discounts on bulk cheese orders?
Yes, when you order 5 or more pieces of cheese, the price is reduced to £2.50 each. Please note, this offer excludes Cheddar Crunch cheese, which remains at £3.50 per piece. For full details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

2. How should I store my cheese after purchase?
To preserve the freshness and flavour of your cheese, it's best to store it in the refrigerator. Once opened, keep in an airtight container in the fridge. Avoid storing cheese in plastic wrap, as it can trap moisture and cause the cheese to spoil more quickly.

3. How long will my cheese last once I've opened it?
All cheeses are dated with the Best Before on the packaging. Once opened and stored in an airtight container, our cheese can last weeks without spoiling, especially our Cheddar based cheeses.

4. Can I freeze cheese?
While some cheeses can be frozen, it's not recommended for all types. Hard cheeses like Cheddar freeze well and can be stored for up to 6 months in the freezer. However, softer cheeses may not retain their texture and flavour after freezing, such as a Wensleydale. If you do freeze cheese, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminium foil, then place it in a resealable freezer bag.

5. How do I know if my cheese has gone bad?
Signs that cheese has gone bad include an off smell, visible mould growth (except for certain types like blue cheese), or a slimy or discoloured appearance. If your cheese exhibits any of these signs, it's best to discard it to avoid foodborne illness.

6. Do you offer lactose-free or vegan cheese options?
Our selection consists of traditional dairy cheeses and are therefore not lactose-free or vegan. Our Cheeses are all suitable for vegetarians.

7. Do you have a physical shop I can try cheese at?
No, as a travelling cheese stall based from Manchester, you are able to try cheese at any events that we attend. Alternatively, we have 2 stalls residing at the Manchester Christmas Markets in November and December each year. If you would like to learn more about where you can find us at events, please get in touch. They are a great opportunity to sample a variety of cheeses, learn about recipes to use our cheese and even checkout our range of jams, chutneys and marmalades.
